Member Notice – Nominations

Dear Members,

Pursuant to the rules of St. Raphael’s Garda Credit Union Limited (“the Credit Union”), the Credit Union is commencing the process of selecting suitable candidates for nomination to the Board of Directors (1 vacancy) at the Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) which will take place on 9th December 2021. 

All serving Directors are required by law to be re-elected by rotation every three years. In addition to the serving Director seeking re-election at this year’s AGM, all members of the Credit Union over 18 years are entitled to apply. Candidates elected at the AGM will be elected for a period of up to three years. The current serving Director will be standing for re-election.

The role of a Director is set out in the Credit Union Act 1997 (as amended). Under regulatory requirements, as set out by the Central Bank, all candidates must meet minimum fitness and probity standards.  They can be accessed by clicking here.


Members applying for this position should be aware that it is voluntary and unpaid.

A detailed Nominations Pack will be sent to all interested parties for completion. If you have any queries our Risk & Compliance Team will be available to assist.

The closing date for the receipt of all fully completed Nomination Packs is Friday 19th November 2021 at 5pm.
